GRAILAfter two delays due to high winds, NASA is currently preparing to take another shot at launching the GRAIL (Gravity Recovery and Interior Laboratory) mission Saturday, August 10, 2011. Launching from Cape Canaveral, this mission will use a Delta II rocket to deploy the twin, unmanned GRAIL spacecraft in orbit around the moon and use high-quality gravity field mapping to determine the moon's interior structure.

The launch is currently scheduled for 8:29AM EDT with a second launch window at 9:08 in case of delays. Launch coverage begins at 5:45AM and will be streamed live via NASA.TV.

More information on the mission can be found at GRAIL’s project home page.
