Ever wonder what happens during those long House of Representatives meetings while they debate the exact wording on bills such as SOPA or Protect IP designed to give the U.S. the ability to shutdown any website in the world
on a whim to stop online piracy? As it turns out, they’re busy downloading pirated material from the Internet.
TorrentFreak checked out the pirate snooping website YouHaveDownloaded to get the 411 on what your favorite legislators are actually up to over on Capitol Hill. Of the 800 hits listed, a good number were for self help books such as “Crucial Conversations- Tools for Talking When Stakes Are High”, “How to Answer Hard Interview Questions And Everything Else You Need to Know to Get the Job You Want”, “Do Not Open – An Encyclopedia of the World’s Best-Kept Secrets”, and, one of my personal favorites, “How Things Work Encyclopedia”.
Rounding out the list of illegal downloads are the usual suspects one would expect from any freedom stifling institution with a smokin’ hot Internet connection: Movies, television shows, the Windows 7 operating system, and, of course, pornographic videos.
